GAS-X BCM is the all-in-one solution from Sopra Steria designed for your balancing group and capacity management. Plan, manage and monitor your booked capacities and balancing groups with just one product!
The GAS-X BCM solution supports suppliers and balancing group managers in planning and managing capacity bookings, in operative balancing group management, and communication and check processes such as data clearing and shadow accounting.
Check the load of your storage using graphs that comprise marketed and marketable storage capacities. Monitor storage load per customer account by importing nomination data, and bill the storage utilisation via GAS-X Billing.
Functions in balancing group management Data communication with market partners
Receiving and checking allocated gas quantities as well as reported balancing group status and transferred quantities from sub-balancing groups of the balancing group network operators. Provision of validated quantities for processing or redistribution via sub-balancing accounts. Declaration processes
Import or determination of an expected declaration per sub-balancing account. Import of the declarations sent by the market area manager via TSIMSG and automated alignment with expectation and previous month data. Dispatching monitor
Intraday monitoring of completeness and plausibility of all communicated data. Direct manual interaction for generating substitute values or confirming plausibility checks and integrating connection of projections and dispatching. Interface processing management
Service-oriented interfaces for internal/external nomination management, for receiving nomination data and data provision for integrated projections. Balancing and matching
Aggregation and calculation of imbalances for calculating balancing energies, structuring fee and control energy levy for checking the plausibility of the data calculated by the market area manager. Surplus/Shortfall quantities billing
Surplus and shortfall quantities billing check based on imported metering point data and quantities relevant for balancing. Balancing group monitor
Monitoring the status, completeness and plausibility of balancing groups. Explicit assessment of sub-balancing groups and invoicing balancing groups. Auditing
Monetary assessment of the balancing group balance and forwarding to internal re-invoicing. Quantity provision (downstream)
Providing validated and cleared quantities for billing supply contracts via sub-balancing accounts. Overview of supply contracts and clearance status as part of monitoring.
Functions in capacity management Capacity management allows you to:
Market area and network model
- Plan your transports
- Manage your capacity bookings
- Optimise secondary marketing potentials including direct, automated communication with the trade platform trac-x Secondary
- Monitor the current status of your secondary marketing offers
- Manage supplier framework contracts in distribution systems
- Communicate in the change-of-supplier business process (GeLi) using the metering point data stored in the system
- Align inventory lists directly with the master data model and transfer adjustements from plausibility checks directly from the message
- Declare capacities for balancing groups
- Manage business transactions according to KARLA Gas
- Execute auditing for capacity contracts and billing for secondary marketing
Mapping market areas necessary for gas transmissions including virtual trading points and commercial models of individual system operators. Contract model
Mapping commercial contract objects for gas transmissions. Capacity load
Monitoring booked capacities (e.g. market area transitions) and load based on allocation data and contractual hourly capacities in case of supply contracts. Support for short- and medium-term secondary-marketing decisions. Balancing group model
Managing and mapping balancing group architectures. Aggregation of imported, booked and declared capacities. Portfolio mapping
Linking capacity contracts, balancing group contracts and supply contracts for structural overview of the contract portfolio. Billing preparation
Preparing incoming capacity invoices of the network operators for auditing. Creating secondary marketing invoices. Displaying secondary marketing and capacity invoices via invoice monitor.
Functions in storage management Storage model and product mapping
Recording storage products including algorithms for charge of fees according to storage operator specifications. Automatic determination of commercial filling and withdrawal curves based on the capacities booked with the storage operator. Separate monitoring of curves per storage operator and storage. Contract model
Mapping storage contracts with storage contract elements. Automatic charging of fees based on defined algorithms. Annual adjustment of the storage fee by the operator for tariff escalation. Storage capacity model
Aggregation of the booked storage capacities per storage and operator. Aggregation of the capacities on the storage level for overall monitoring if various storage operators are marketing capacities. Storage management based on processed nomination data and mapping of resulting capacities on the storage and the operator level. Invoice preparation
Synopsis of storage capacity bookings for billing. Mapping invoices of the storage operator. Controlling via invoice monitor. Invoicing
Determination of fees per contract element based on the term and booked storage capacity. Synopsis of storage contract elements in invoice definitions. Preparation of invoices for transfer to GAS-X Billing for final invoice creation and for example for accounting.
Functions in nominiation management
The settlement processes of delivery management (commercial dispatching) is part of Sopra Steria's solution portfolio for gas traders.
The capacity management and balancing group management of wholesalers was extended by the processes of sales load forecasting and nomination management. The new solution allows for an allocation of sales positions to reference positions while considering balancing scopes. The nomination of procurement contracts, transport contracts and storage contracts as well as for example border points (GÜP), cross-zonal transportation (MÜT) and local cross-zonal transportation (Mini-MÜT), for example, are controlled via merit order lists (MOL).
With the linking of balancing group management to delivery management, the process chain up to contract implementation is completely covered and enables the mapping of complete daily processes in the integrated IT solution GAS-X.
